Mr. Roland George Morgan, 85, of 65 Cedarview Lane, passed away on Wednesday, November 30th 2016 at Liberty Commons in Benson, with his family by his side.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 am at Central Baptist Church, 6050 Plainview Hwy, Dunn, with Pastor Tom Wagoner officiating.  A Graveside Service with military honors will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday afternoon, at Grandview Memorial Park in Clinton.

Born on July 25, 1931 in Washington, DC, Roland was the son of the late Nonnie and Lena Elliott Morgan.  He was a Veteran with the United States Army and Air Force and was a recipient of a Bronze Star Medal. He also owned a Heating, Air & TV Antenna business for many years in Virginia.  He served as a Deacon at First Baptist Church of Manning, South Carolina, prior to him becoming a longtime member of Central Baptist Church, where he served in many areas.  He was an avid animal lover and enjoyed all types of fishing.  Mr. Roland was a “people person” and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him always left with a smile on their face and love in their heart. 

Mr. Roland is survived by his wife of sixty years, Eunice Clifton “Lee"Morgan; his three daughters, Debra Harrell of Carthage; Kim Reedy & husband, John of Front Royal, Virginia; Jennifer Moree & husband, Frankie of Pinehurst; one sister, Betty Rolen & husband, bob of Silver Springs, Maryland; and brother-in-law, Calvin Hausenfluck of Greencastle, Pennsylvania.  He was also blessed with eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  He was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Dorothy Hausenfluck and his twin brother, Ronald Morgan.  

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday morning, beginning at 10:00 am, and other times at his home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (www.aspca.org).
