Im so sorry for your loss. You can find real comfort in what God has promised, such as in John 5:28,29 -He promises that he is going to resurrect all those who have ever died, back to life again here on earth. And all the things that cause us sorrow, pain, and even death, will be gone forever. You can read about this in Revelation 21:3,4, and 1 Corinthians 15:26. If you put "Eagle Scout Attributes" in Wikipedia, Matthew Fulton's name could be listed.
It was my privilege to ,meet Matthew when he stepped up to give back to the Boy Scout movement that he had enjoyed so much. Chronologically he was young, but spending time with him was being with a mature man who knew who he was on every level. A Scout is Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, and Kind,. Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave Clean and Reverent. That was Matthew. What a difference his life made. My heart goes out to his family and co-workers at Prestige and his friends. God Bless you as you walk through this valley on to another realm. In Christian Love, Lucy Grist

Mathew was one of a kind, this was common knowledge for anyone who knew chief. There were few that were as strong, intelligent, or as kind as he was. And no one could make people smile like he could. Chief was a mans man, a state champion football player, and one of the toughest people I have ever met.

One of my favorite memories of chief was at the beach a few years back when we had a reunion for all the guys that lived in the double wides in Boone. As I walked into Chiefs room I heard chief raping every word of a Biggie Smalls song. He knew every line, and he preformed the entire song for the whole room. I laughed till I cried. That was my buddy. I am going to miss him a lot.

To his family I offer my sympathy. I will continue to pray for your family. I cannot begin to feel your pain but I hope there is some peace in knowing that Mathew is in a far grater place than us now. I look forward to being able to see him again one day.

I'm so deeply sorry to hear about Matthew's passing. Matthew (or "Chief", as most of his friends called him) was my neighbor in Boone and good friend for many years. He had a unique gift to light up a room and would often become the best of friends with people who were strangers to him only a few minutes before. He had a great sense of humor and was one of the most fun-loving people I've ever met. I will miss his companionship, camaraderie and treasure the good times we had together.

My deepest prayers go out to his family and friends in this difficult time and I hope that you can find comfort in knowing that we WILL see Matthew again one day when we make our journey down the same road.

I just found out that I will have to miss the celebration of life due to a teaching obligation but please know that I will be with you in spirit, not only for the celebration of Matthew's life but for the difficult days to come after. Matthew was a one-of-a-kind guy and treasured by so many. May you find peace in knowing that he was happy, he was a good man and that he left behind a legacy of fond memories with everyone he met.
