Mr. Eakes was a fine man! When we moved back home in 1986, we rented Mrs. Gussie Parker's house across the street from your folks. They loved our little girls and talked a lot about their little girls and what a joy it was to have girls! We know just what they meant. ! You all were very blessed to have such wonderful parents. God bless you and know that we will keep you in our prayers as you cope with the loss of your dad.

Clinton has lost a true southern gentleman with the loss of Sumner. He was a fine man and was loved by all. :He and I were members of a Tuesday lunch group known as the ROMEO (RETIRED OLD MEN EATING OUT) club. Sumner was a joy to talk to and was always a perfect companion. To know him was to love him and he will be missed by all who knew him. RIP my friend.

I am so sorry to hear of Sumner's passing. He was a true gentleman. He was also a very kind and sweet Christian who was a father figure to me. Ron and I loved Sumner and Eloise very much. Back in the day we shared a lot of good times--food and fellowship. My love, prayers and sympathy to all of the family. Sumner, you will be missed. I love you.. Bennie Montgomery
