To the Dr. Montgomery family and loved ones
Just learning of his passing however I spoke with him last spring as always such a kind and gentle man, while in Hyde he certainly displayed his passion for music and arts, he grew the band and acquired new uniforms and put them in the fore front, educational was his fortay and was very much involved with the communities. He made a lasting memories. Thanks to is family for sharing him and his abilities with us.

Uncle Ronnie's service was one of the most precious funerals I've attended. I smiled, laughed, cried and worshipped as we remembered and honored his life. You all obviously put a lot of thought and love into planning. I've always heard that we are supposed to live a life that preaches our own funeral and he most certainly did. He ran the good race and what a reward he must be enjoying in Heaven today. Love you all...honored to be part of such an amazing family. My prayers will continue to be with you as you adjust to life without him....although I know he still lives through each of you.

Dr. Montgomery was a great person. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. He always made himself available and was open and honest each time I interviewed him. When I left HCA in 2002 to attend the NC School of Math and Science, Dr. Montgomery sent me a hand written note congratulating and wishing me the best of luck. It was a simple gesture but meant a lot to me and I still have the note.
He was a great man, my condolences to his family and loved ones.

Although I never met Dr Montgomery, (I live in the UK) several of my American friends were taught by him., he must have been a truly inspiring teacher and leader.

I will always remember Dr. Montgomery and his dedication to the schools and children of North Carolina. Now I know his efforts extended even further. He always made it clear to all who knew him that he loved God, his family, and education. My memories of my "cousin" Ronnie are such sweet ones. He and my brother Bobby are almost the same age; and we all grew up never caring that Bob and Sue's children weren't really our cousins. They were there at every family function; and we loved them just like the others. Ronnie stood out as such a kind child and young man. He was so smart and I, especially, was so amazed of the higher education he attained Even though we lost touch in later years, I am proud of the man, father, and grandfather he became. You will be missed Ron.
