Mrs. Betty Blanton Heaton, 82, of 200 Kerr St., passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024, at Mary-Gran Nursing Center.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 12, at 1:00 PM at Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Katherine Rives officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Willard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services beginning at 12 in the MacQueen Building.
Born in 1941 in Duplin County, Betty was the daughter of the late John Henry and Sally Rivenbark Blanton and the widow of Pinckney H. Heaton, Jr. She was a member of Graves Memorial Presbyterian Church and a homemaker. She operated a daycare for over 25 years for Infants.
Betty is survived by three sons: Ronald Anderson and wife, Phyllis of Clinton, Hugh Heaton and wife, Susan of Fort Worth, Texas, and Mike Anderson of Fayetteville; daughter, Jennifer Heaton of Wilmington; five grandchildren: Tyler Anderson, Brandi Anderson, Thomas Anderson, Jackie Anderson, and Katie Heaton; two great-grandchildren: Skylar Wallace, and Jaxon Wallace. Brother, Tommy Blanton, and wife, Althea of Wallace.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by four sisters: Elmer Pierce, Dorothy Wrought, and Mary Padgett; Alice Adams one brother Buddy Blanton.
