Mr. William “Lee” Turner, 62 of Harmony Acres Lane, passed away Wednesday, June 29th at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, July 3, at 2:00 pm at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John Hobbs and Col. David Curlin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born on July 3, 1959 in Sampson County, Lee was the son of Amos and Jannie Lucas Turner. He was the owner and operator of a convenient store on Fort Bragg. He was a diehard UNC fan and loved to watch the games and cheer for the Tarheels. He loved to fish and go to the beach. More than anything, Lee loved his family, and loved spending time at home. Lee was a simple, country man with a big smile and a big heart. He will be greatly missed.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of twenty-six years, Angela K. Turner of the home; sons: Bobby Lee Turner of Clinton and Scott Pieper of Virginia; daughter, Shandi Shipway of Fayetteville; brother, Donald Turner of Clinton; four grandchildren: Brianna Doggett, Jackson Turner, Hunter Turner, and Jarron Pieper; and his furry girl “Pebbles”.
In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by three sisters, five brothers, and his furry boy “Gizmo”.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church; and other times at his home.
Royal-Hall is honored to serve the Turner family.
