Mr. William “Bill” Herbert Strickland, Jr., 79 of 1554 Timberlake Dr., passed away Thursday, January 11, 2024, at ECU Health Duplin Hospital in Kenansville with his family by his side.

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Clinton Cemetery with Rev. Dudley Neal officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.

Born on September 1, 1944, in Nash County, Bill was the son of the late William Herbert Strickland Sr., and Lois Baines Strickland. He was a Tobacconist Exporter having spent many years in China. He was a member of the Hiram Lodge #98 AF & AM and he loved to travel all over the world.

Bill is survived by his wife, Ann Turlington Strickland of the home; four sons: Kenneth Aubrey Cannady and wife, Sandra of Clinton, Ryan Keith Cannady of Clinton, Billy Strickland and wife, Libby of Greensboro, and David Strickland of Rocky Mount; daughter, Sharon Ann Cannady of Clinton; two sisters: Laura O’Neal of Virginia, and Jean Davis of Rocky Mount; Five Grandchildren: Jenna, Abby Emma, Sara, and Carrie.
