Mrs. Willa Dean Tyndall Autry, 77, of 922 Yellow Skin Road, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2026, at her home with her family by her side.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 3 at 2:00 PM at Hall-Autry Family Cemetery, on Edgar Lane, Autryville, NC., with Pastor Lee Britt officiating. The family will receive friends following service, at the home.
Born on May 9, 1949, in Sampson County, Willa Dean was the daughter of the late Aclenieta and Rozena Dudley Tyndall and the widow of the late David Clifton Autry, Sr. She was a member of Peniel Pentecostal Holiness Church who loved her church family and attended as her health permitted. Willa Dean spent her career in nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant until her retirement.
Willa Dean is survived by her daughter, Angela Michelle Blount (Robert) of Autryville; son, David Clifton Autry, Jr (Stephanie) of Autryville; four grandchildren: Landon Autry, Leanna Autry, Brittany Bellis, and Jacob Blount; two sisters: Rosa Lee House of Fayetteville and Christine Settle of Winston-Salem; brother, Alex Tyndall of Clinton; three half-brothers: Robert Hall, Mack Tyndall, and Jessie Tyndall.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Pearline Bishop; two half-brothers: James Tyndall and Carl Eugene Hall.
