Wanda (Jackson) Sessoms

Ms. Wanda Lee Jackson Sessoms, 65, of 1315 Jasper Street, Apt C, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 27, at 2:00 PM, at Holly Grove Holiness Church with the Rev. Randy Simmons officiating.  Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.

Born in 1959 in Wayne County , Wanda was the daughter of the late Granville Ernest and Belva Joyce Smith Jackson and the widow of the late Randy James Sessoms.  Wanda spent many years as a retail clerk and a homemaker.  She loved her family more than anything and her Pepsi.

Wanda  is survived by two sons, Ralph Simmons (Jessica) of Clinton and Chris Simmons of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren:  Skyler, Cason (Luke), Alexxis Hopkins (Zachary), Gage Simmons (Amber), Kaleb Simmons, Caleb Simmons, Nevaeh Simmons, and Aiden Simmons; sister, Brenda Jackson Lanne of Dunn; two brothers:  Larry Jackson of Rose Hill, and Jackie Jackson of Clinton.  In addition to her parents and her husband, Wanda was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Jackson.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church sanctuary and other times at the home of her son, 1130 Indian Town Road, Clinton, NC.
