Harrells
Tyler Aaron Jones, 27 of 74 Melvin Rd. died at home on Saturday, July 9, 2022.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Leo Bracken officiating. Burial will follow in the Harrells Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1pm, at the funeral home; and other times at his home.
Born on September 5, 1994 in Duplin County, Tyler is the son of John Darrell Jones and Donna Kay Thibodeaux. He was an employee with Wells Construction Co. in Turkey, and was always a hard-working young man. Tyler loved to do anything outdoors – fishing, hunting, four-wheeling or running his dogs (AJ and Skeeter) – as long as he was outside, he was happy. He loved to hang out with his family and friends and always had a special spot in his heart for his nieces and nephews. Tyler left this world way too soon, and he is going to be missed more than words can express.
In addition to his parents, John and Donna, Tyler is survived by his sister, Stephanie Gimlin of Greenville; and brothers: Matthew Jones and wife, Whittany of Harrells, Brandon Jones and wife, Katelyn of Stedman, Ethan Jones of Harrells, and Matthew Updike of Wallace. He also leaves behind his maternal grandmother, Vickie Parrish; maternal grandfather, Albert Thidobeaux; paternal grandmother, Christine Jones; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, JD Lynnwood Jones.
