Timothy “Timmy” Wayne Jones, 58, of 196 Cedar Lake Ln passed away at Sampson Regional Medical Center Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, Feb 13th at 2pm at Rowan Baptist Church with Rev. Clay Carter officiating. Visitation will follow in the church fellowship hall following the service, and other times at his home.
Born on December 29, 1963 in Sampson County, Timmy was the son of the late Bruce Stanley and Peggy Westbrook Jones. He grew up in Clinton and after graduation, he worked selling auto parts and later worked as a metal fabricator for Robinson & Son Machine. Anyone who knew Timmy, knows he loved riding his motorcycle, and going to Myrtle Beach with his family. He and his wife, Ellen had been faithfully attending Rowan Baptist Church for the past several months, and Timmy was very active in Rowan’s Wheelchair Ramp Ministry and had become an integral part of the team. Timmy’s greatest achievement, besides helping Pastor Clay build wheelchair ramps, was the day he accepted Jesus Christ into his heart as his personal Lord and Savior.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory - his wife, Ellen Robinson Jones and his son, Bruce Wayne Jones of the home; his sister, Sandra Jones of Clayton; mother and father in law, Thomas and Doris Robinson; sister-in-law, Patricia Harrell and brother-in-law, Wayne Robinson.
The family asks that no flowers be sent, but instead please make donations to Rowan Baptist Church in Timmy’s memory: 701 Rowan Rd, Clinton, NC 28328 or to Grove Park Baptist Church, 609 Northeast Blvd., Clinton, NC 28328.
Royal-Hall is honored to serve the Jones family.
