Thomas Lantz Lackey, Sr., 84, formerly of 336 Spring Branch Road, Supply, NC, passed away Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Southwood Nursing Center in Clinton.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 11, at 2:00 PM at Allegiant Church & Creative Ministries, 2720 W. Main Street, Clinton with Rev. Rodney Hall officiating. Burial will follow in the Buies Creek Cemetery, Lillington, NC.
Born in 1940 in Randolph County, Mr. Lackey was the son of the late Roy Hayden and Edna Louise Helms Lackey. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, June Johnson Lackey. Mr. Lackey loved to watch NASCAR with his boys and enjoyed gardening with both his wives and adored all of his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Collins Lackey; two sons: Thomas L. Lackey, Jr. and wife (Kim) of Clinton and Keith Hayden Lackey (Heather) of Emporia, VA; five granddaughters: Amanda Adams (Matthew), Amber Starks (Everett), Kaylee Lackey, Madison Lackey, and Hayden Lackey; four great grandchildren; Madison Adams, Daisy Adams, Alexis Adams, and Wesley Adams.
Mr. Lackey was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert Milton Lackey.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday, beginning at 1:00 PM at the Church.
