Sterling Gibson Cannady, 30, of 2743 Basstown Rd., went to be with the Lord and to reunite with his mother on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 6, at 2:00PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Ray Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.

Born on October 4th, 1995, Sterling was the son of Scottie Lee Cannady and the late Lisa Ann King Cannady. Sterling was a graduate of the Hobbton High School Class of 2014. He loved spending time with his family with his kids being his world, as well as his special four-legged friend, Tucker. Losing his mother in 2021 was heartbreaking for him. Sterling would often help his maternal granddad and grandma with their landscaping business and enjoyed being outdoors. He was also a former Inventory Specialist with Walmart.

In addition to his father, Sterling is survived by two daughters: Halee Cannady of the home and Paisleigh Cannady of Lucama; two sons: Kylar Cannady of Lucama and Braedyn Cannady of the home; sister, Carlee Williams (Jeremy) of Salemburg; maternal grandparents: Bud and Lois King of Clinton; paternal grandma, Vinnie Cannady of Clinton; significant other, Haleigh Freeman of the home;  and special cousin, Kane Whitted.

In addition to his mother, Lisa, Sterling was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Randall Cannady.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services on Saturday beginning at 1:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel and other times at his sister’s home, 3883 Bearskin Rd., Salemburg, NC., 28385.
