Shane Lee Bond, 35, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, with his mom and brother by his side.

Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at 11:00 am at Harrells Cemetery with Carl Riley officiating. His family will receive friends following the Graveside Service.

Born on April 16, 1985, Shane was the son of Howard Bond and Marilyn Lanier Bond and grew up in the Harrells Community. He graduated from Union High School in 2003 and was a welder for a construction company. He enjoyed fishing and playing video games, but loved music most of all and played guitar. He loved hanging out with his friends – who called him “Grinny” – because of his contagious smile, that would light up a room.  Shane left this world too soon and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Lila Cate Bond; parents: Marilyn Bond of Harrells and Howard Bond of Seneca, South Carolina; his brother, Brandon Bond of Harrells; Uncles: Leslie Lanier, Tom Lanier (Jodi), Willie Lanier (Kathy) and Mike Lanier (Lisa); niece, Cadence Bond and nephew, Noah Bond; and many cousins and extended family.
