Ms. Ruth Bradshaw Rackley, 88 of 1200 Taylors Bridge Rd., passed away Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Sampson Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, May 10 at 2:00 PM at Grandview Memorial Park with Rev. Buddy Mitchell officiating.

Born in 1934 in Sampson County, Ruth was the daughter of the late John and Leona Bass Bradshaw and the widow of Huey Benjamine “Ben” Rackley. Ruth was a fan of gospel music, wrestling, and Fox News. She loved her family and her grandchildren and will greatly be missed.

Ruth is survived by her two daughters: Delynn Rackley of Clinton, and Brenda Ellison of Sneads Ferry; son, John Robert “Bobby” Torrance of the home, brother, John Bradshaw of Tampa, FL., one grandson, Benjamine Johnathan Rackley, two great-grandchildren: Carlie McKenzie Rackley, and Reese Long.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ruth was preceded in death by five sisters: Nell Moore, Mary Ellen Bradshaw, Ella Mae Garner, Susan Palmer, and Lois Anderson; three brothers: Cortell Bradshaw, Mack Bradshaw, and Elwood Bradshaw; two grandchildren: Falisha K. Ellison, and Heather Dawn Ellison

The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery and other times at her home.
