Ronnie Allen Butler, 54, of 285 Browns Church Rd., passed away at New Hanover Medical Center in Wilmington on Sunday, August 21, 2022.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 25 at 3:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Gary Knowles officiating. Burial will follow in Grandview Memorial Park.
Born on August 6, 1968, in Sampson County, Ronnie was the son of the late Robert Franklin and Myrtle Faye Pearsall Butler. He retired truck driver from Food Lion Distribution and owned his own trucking company, Butler’s Trucking. When he wasn’t on the road, he loved to fish and play golf; but most of all, he loved to spend time with his family and grandchildren. He had a heart of gold and definitely left this world too soon. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Penny Marie Butler; two daughters, Ashley Sutton and husband, Chris of Clinton; Lisa Butler and fiancé, Ray Bolton, Jr. of Clinton; and two sisters: Crystal Strickland and Marilyn Cannady, both of Clinton. Ronnie was also blessed with five grandchildren: Izabell Sutton, Isabella Butler, Brody Sutton, Skylynn Sutton, and Carmen Bolton.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Frankie Butler.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at the funeral home beginning at 2:00 pm; and other times at his home.
Royal-Hall is honored to serve the Butler Family.
