Mr. Robert Franklin Butler Sr., 73 of 174 South Rose Lane passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Wake Med in Raleigh.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 28th at 2:30 PM at Old Mill Church of God, 170 Williams Lake Rd. Roseboro, NC. 28382 with Pastor Donnie Honeycutt and Pastor Jerry Waters officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park in Clinton.
Born in 1947 in Sampson County Robert was the son of the late Clifton and Loretta Tew Butler and the widower of Myrtle Faye Pearsall Butler. He worked many years at the old Dr. Pepper plant on McKoy St. in Clinton, when they closed he then went to Sampson-Bladen Oil Company until his retirement.
Robert is survived by his son, Ronnie Butler and wife, Penny of Clinton; two daughters: Crystal B. Strickland and husband, Junior of Clinton and Marilyn B. Cannady and husband, Nelson of Clinton; sister, Ann Fann of Clinton; three brothers: Mack Butler of Baldwin, FL., Thomas Butler of Jacksonville, FL. and James Butler of Clinton; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife Robert was preceded-in-death by his son, Robert Franklin Butler, Jr and grandson, Micheal Andrew Butler.
The family will receive friends on Sunday at the church beginning at 1:00 PM until 2:15 PM and other times at the home of his son, Ronnie Butler; 194 South Rose Lane Clinton, NC. 28328.
