Mr. Robert David Andrasko, 71, of Sampson County passed away peacefully at the SECU Hospice House on Friday, July 21st with his family by his side. Robert was born on December 10, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of the late Lawrence and Marie Kelly Andrasko. Robert was a Veteran of the U.S. Marines. He also was a former employee of Carter’s General Maintenance in Clinton, NC., and a retired construction supervisor.
Frequently called Rick by his family and friends, he was an enthusiast for living life to the fullest. Rick believed in having fun and made a memorable impression on others wherever he went. His fun and loving heart was shared with so many. Rick was always willing to help someone, and often put others' needs before his own. Rick spent many days fishing, hunting, and spending time at the beach. He enjoyed listening to music, dancing, telling jokes, and watching Pittsburgh Steelers football games. Most of all, he loved making lasting memories when spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Rick is survived by his loving children, daughter, Angela Dietrich and husband Tony of North Huntingdon, PA, son, Matthew Andrasko and fiancé Kilty Walker of Smithfiled, NC, daughter, Brittany Rackley and husband Scott of Clinton, NC, sister, Joyce Sampson and husband Joe of Tucson, AZ, brother, Larry Andrasko of Clinton, NC, grandchildren, Anthony Dietrich, Jr., Adriana Dietrich, James Rackley, and Annalynn Rackley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Denise Rosa.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 27th at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. Randy Beasley officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 pm.
