Mr. Richard Eddis Kersey, 78, of 607 Southwood Drive, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 22 at 2:00 PM at Grandview Memorial Park with Blake Holmes officiating.
Born in 1946 in Sampson County, Richard was the son of the late John C. and Rachel Robinson Kersey. He was a retired painter and a member of Rowan Baptist Church.
Richard is survived by his sister, Kay Holmes (Tony) of Benson. In addition to his parents and wife, Patricia Annette Kersey, Richard was preceded in death by a sister; Linda Gail Kersey and two brothers, William Mack Kersey and Ellie Mae Kersey.
The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside.
