Renee Pope Hall, 64, passed away Monday, January 19, at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, January 23, at 11:00 AM at Brown Baptist Church, 2009 Browns Church Road, Clinton, with Rev. Jeremy Hairr officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born April 28th, 1961 in Sampson County, Renee was the daughter of Marie Jackson Pope and the late Curtis Wayne Pope. Renee was a member of Brown Baptist Church and loved her church family. She was a graduate of Clinton High School, Class of 1979, where she was a member of the marching band and proud to be a Dark Horse. Renee was also a graduate of UNCW where she earned her Bachelors Degree in Psychology & Social Work. She worked for New Hanover County Department of Social Services as a supervisor of Child Protective Services until her retirement.
In addition to her mother, Renee is survived by her spouse, Jeannette Midget; two sons: Kevin Hall of Clinton and Kyle Hall (Amanda) of Harrells; four grandchildren: Karson Hall, Caroline Hall, Curtis Reid Hall, and Kylie Hall; and two special uncles: Dwight Jackson and Kendall McLamb.
The family will receive friends in the sanctuary one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 AM and other times at the home of her mother.
