Mr. Raymond Elton Bradshaw, Jr., 62 of Rowan Rd., passed away Friday, April 29, 2022, at Sampson Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 2 at 6:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel, 301 McKoy St., with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan and Rev. James Croom officiating. Burial will be held privately.

Born on June 11, 1959, in Sampson County, Ray was the son of Patricia Thornton Hill and the late Raymond E. Bradshaw, Sr. Ray was an accomplished baseball player in high school graduating from Clinton High School class of 1977. His baseball passion stuck with him his entire life as an avid fan. Ray was an Electrician by trade as long as he was able.

Ray is survived by his loving wife, Nancy Jean Daniels Bradshaw of the home; two brothers: Richard Bradshaw and Robert Bradshaw both of Clinton; mother, Patricia Thornton Hill and stepdad, Tom Hill of Clinton; special friend and uncle, Arnold Thornton, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, Ray was preceded in death by his maternal grandma, Ruby Thornton, and paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Alton Bradshaw.

The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home on Monday evening and other times at the home of Patricia & Tom Hill, 164 Rowan Rd.
