Rev. Osborne Vance Wade, 83 of 94 Shipp Rd., passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at his home, with his loving family by his side.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 21 at 2:00 pm at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vernon Braswell and Rev. Nick Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born in 1940, in Greene County, Osborne was the son of the late Norman Lee and Verna Vaughn Wade. He spent many years as a Pastor, and also was an auto dealer and insurance agent. Osborne was a member of Mintz Baptist Church and enjoyed sharing his love of the Lord with everyone he met, and leading people to Christ. Osborne had a great personality and never met a stranger. More than anything, Osborne loved spending time with his family, whom he adored. He will be greatly missed, but his legacy of love will live on through all the lives he touched.
Osborne is survived by his wife, Laura Edwards Wade of the home, daughter, Shannon Wade of Hampstead, three sons: Timothy Randall Wade, and wife, Marilyn of Clinton, Gregory Lee Wade and wife, Amy of Hampstead, and Vance Terrelle Wade and wife, Debbie of Spivey’s Corner; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren; sister, Diane Wade of Greenville, two brothers: Howard Wade of Carrollton,Virginia, and Keith Wade of Holly Ridge; and two step-sons: Michael Edwards and Richard Edwards both of Clinton.
In addition to his parents, Osborne was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye Newsome Wade, and sister, Betty Joe Roncase.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home; and other times at his home.
