Olivia Riley Ollis, 66, of Tomahawk Hwy (formerly of Fayetteville) passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side on Sunday, June 5, 2022 at Lower Cape Fear LifeCare in Wilmington.

Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Harrells Cemetery with Rev. Tim Register and Rev. David Woodhouse officiating. Visitation will be held immediately following the service, at the cemetery.

Olivia was born on March 19, 1956 in Fayetteville, NC to the late Carl Hampton Riley, Sr. and Sara Octavia Melvin. She was a member of Hay Street United Methodist Church and also attended Siloam Baptist Church.  She attended Terry Sanford High School and always had a passion for art, obtaining her undergrad degree at Methodist College and then her Masters in Art Education from UNC-Greensboro.  She used her gift as an artist to teach children the love of art and to use their gifts of creativity. She taught in Cumberland, Sampson, Bladen and Duplin counties; most recently working at B.F. Grady Elementary School. She was loved by her students, fellow teachers and co-workers. She loved spending time with her daughter, brother and nieces, whom she adored.  She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughter, Carla Ollis of Harrells; brother, Carl Riley and wife, Cindy of Harrells and her three nieces: Claire, Chloe and Casey.
