Mrs. Naomi Darden Folger, of Panhandle Rd., passed away on Monday, August 1, 2022.
A private Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Piney Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Robert Beasley officiating.
Naomi was born on July 1, 1945 in Sampson County, NC to the late Floy Darden and Corretta Warren Darden. She was the widow to Charles “Chuck” Folger, who died in April of 2020. She was a retired elementary school teacher, mostly working at Hargrove Elementary School, teaching 5th grade students. She loved teaching and enjoyed her relationships with her coworkers over the years. Naomi always had a passion for reading. After retirement, she enjoyed spending time at the beach, and always had a book in her lap while she was there. More than anything else, she loved her sons and grandsons – they were her whole world.
She is survived by her sons: Charles Bradley “Brad” Folger and wife, Brenda of Midlothian, Virginia; Perry Randall “Randy” Folger of Faison; three grandsons: Thomas and Bennett Folger of Virginia; and Jackson Folger of Faison.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Sydney Darden and sister, Vickie Myers.
Royal-Hall Funeral Home is honored to serve the Folger family.
