Mrs. Mary Amalie Jackson Williams, 87, of Maxwell Rd., passed away Friday, January 7, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 11, at 12:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Alan Roberts and Rev. Scott Keith officiating. Burial will follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Born in 1934 in Sampson County Mrs. Williams was the daughter of the late Clifford Carlton and Olavia Sivertsen Jackson and the widow of D.M. Williams. Mrs. Williams was a member of Clement Baptist Church, a piano teacher, and the former organist at Union Grove Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Beth Laurie, and husband, Dan of Autryville, two sons: Dennis K. Williams and partner, Alvis Smith of Fayetteville, and Marty Williams and wife, Celeste of Autryville; three sisters: Faye Faulkner of Burlington, Donna Jean Williford, and Elaine Jackson of Clinton; four grandchildren: Ryan Williams and wife, Angie, Eric Williams, Haley Epley and husband, Dalton and Kirsten Laurie; two great-grandchildren; Landon Williams and Levi Williams.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Tuesday beginning at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Royal-Hall Funeral Home.
