Louise Mattocks Beheler, 88, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021 at Mary Gran Nursing Home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, April 1st at Royal-Hall Funeral Home with Rev. E.C. Mattocks and Rev. Cameron Dunn officiating. Burial will follow in the Clinton Cemetery.
Born on October 1, 1932 in Jones County, Louise was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Rossie Banks Mattocks and the widow of Robert “Sonny” Beheler. She was a 60-year member of Grove Park Baptist Church and also a faithful member of the church choir. She retired as a manager with Carolina Telephone after thirty-three years of service and carried on with that career with AT&T and Sprint for an additional ten years. In her spare time, her and Sonny loved to go to different shagging events, where they were avid shaggers. She had a heart of gold and would lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. She loved her family more than anything, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters: Diane Andrews Faircloth (Marty Nordan) of Clinton; Lisa Andrews Dixon (Jimmy Gainey) of Clinton; five grandchildren: Teri Shaw Lanik (Joel), Travis Faircloth (Tabitha), Dana Dixon, Ross Dixon and Madison Dixon; great-granddaughter, Virginia Isabelle “GiGi” Lanik; sisters-in-law, Eula Mattocks and Lois Sandy; several nieces and nephews and Quisha Hampton and Mallard Newkirk for their love and care during this difficult time.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Ross Shaw and her brothers: Bob, Gene, Calvin and Kit Mattocks.
Visitation will be held following the service at the cemetery on Thursday; and other times at the home of her granddaughter, Dana Dixon, 243 Beaman St., Apt 15, Clinton.
