Mrs. Elaine Harrell Burchette, 73 passed away on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Southwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 11:00 am at Clinton Family Worship Center with Pastor Lynn Blackburn officiating.
Born on March 9, 1948 in Georgia, Elaine was the daughter of the late Robert Jefferson and Earline Young Harrell. She was a retired beautician, working for herself at Clinton Hairstyling and took pride in her work. She enjoyed all of the weekly customers she had, who were more like family; and cherished all of the friendships she made over the years. After retirement, she enjoyed helping Franklin Thompson at the flower shop for many years. She was known by her grandchildren and many others as “Mema”. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, who she adored.
She is survived by one daughter: Christi Blackburn of Clinton; one son, James Robert Burchette of Roseboro; two stepsons: Kenneth Dewayne Burchette of Roseboro and Randy Lee Burchette of Clinton; Sister, Willie Berry of Florida; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday, beginning at 10:00 am; and other times at her daughter’s home, located at 2560 Beulah Rd., Clinton.
Royal-Hall Funeral Home is honored to serve the Burchette family.
