Mr. Paul Barefoot, 79, passed away on Wednesday evening, May 26, 2021 at home.
A private Memorial Service will be held at Royal-Hall Funeral Home on Friday, May 28, 2021 with Rev. David Jones, Paul’s nephew, officiating.
Born on February 12, 1942 in Sampson County, Paul was the son of the late George Matthew and Maybell McClenny Barefoot. He was a former detective with the Sampson County Sheriff’s Department and a hard-working, dedicated employee, taking pride in his job. Paul loved to hunt, and was an avid deer hunter all his life. He loved his family and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his two daughters: Donna Price and husband, Wade and Teresa Smith (Roger Allman); three grandchildren: Benjamin Patrick Lee, Matthew Paul Andrasko and Brittany Rackley (Scott); special friends, Glenn Hobbs and wife, Linda and Franklin Hobbs, who was like a son to him; and brother-in-law, Paul Jones, Jr. and wife, Sandra. He also leaves behind two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and siblings, he was preceded in death by wife Charlott Barefoot. He was also preceded in by his first wife, and mother of his children, Joan Justice.
