Mr. John Leonard Brock,91 of 180 Southwood Dr. died at Southwood Nursing and Retirement Center Monday, July 11, 2022.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, at 11:00 AM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Cotton officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in 1931 in Johnston County, Mr. Brock was the son of the late John Henry and Alma Lee Brock. He was a retired salesman with Smith Hardware of Goldsboro.
He is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Stocks and husband, James of Turkey, Deborah B. Lewis and husband, Lem of Mt. Olive. One son, John A. Brock and wife, Pam of Turkey. Two sisters, Mildred West of Clinton, and Hilda Grey Harvey of Lake City, Fla. Five grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Elwood Glenn Brock. Three brothers, Henry Fulton Brock, Roy Allen Brock and Braswell Calvin Brock. Three sisters, Mary L. Stanley, Shirley Mae Rushing and Betty Catherine Jones.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 AM.
