Minnie Ruth Ezzell Moore, 82, of 611 Blaney Street, passed away on Monday evening, December 31, 2018 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 6, 2019 at 2:00 pm at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John Hobbs and Rev. Paul Honeycutt officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Born on March 11, 1936 in Sampson County, Minnie Ruth was the daughter of the late Carl Ezzell and Ethel Wagstaff Ezzell Mize and the widow of James Pope Moore. She was a retired Office Manager with Hamilton Beach and a very active member of Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters: Deborah Herring and husband, David of Roseboro, Beth Faircloth and husband, Nolan of Dunn, Moochie Milks of Apex; three brothers: George “Tene” Ezzell of Boca Raton, Florida, Kenneth Earl Ezzell of Lynchburg, Virginia, Charles Edward Ezzell of Wilmington; Foster-sister, Lellon H. McLemore of Roseboro; four grandchildren: Taylor Page Barefoot, Christopher Herring, Ryan Milks and Cameron Milks; and one great-grandson, Ethan Herring.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by two sisters: Ruby Rich and Ethel Ann York; a brother, Carl “Mutt” Ezzell, Jr. and her stepfather, Charlie Mize.
Visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday evening, January 5, 2019 from 6-8 pm at Royal-Hall Funeral Home and other times at her daughter’s home, Deborah Herring, 2921 Fleet Cooper Rd., Roseboro.
