Mr. Milton Brent Mathis, 71 of 3020 Market St. died at Duke Medical Center on November 25, 2024.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Clinton Cemetery with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan officiating.

Born in 1953 in Wayne County, Milton was the son of the late Leamon and Adell Carter Mathis. He was a retired Deep Sea Fisherman, and he was a waterman and fished the waters of the Atlantic Ocean from North Carolina to Florida. He was owner and captain of his own Boat called “The Endangered Species” for 30 Years.
