Louise Hudson Weeks

Mrs. Louise Hudson Weeks, 83, of West Darden Rd, passed away at her home on Tuesday morning, November 8, 2022 with her loving family by her side.  

Louise, born in Johnson County on November 15, 1938, was the daughter of the late Hubert and Betty McLamb Hudson. She was also preceded in death by her three brothers, Julious, Ray and Arlie B. Hudson. Louise worked at Belk of Clinton for fourteen years, and also worked at Hargrove Elementary in the school cafeteria until her retirement. She married her sweetheart, Talmadge Weeks, in 1954 and they lived a wonderful life, raising three children and being blessed with four grandchildren, and later three great-grandchildren, whom she especially adored.  She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and she also had a hidden talent of yodeling, which she was very good at. Mrs. Louise will be greatly missed, but her legacy will live on through her family.

She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Talmadge; her son, Anthony Weeks, and wife, Sharilyn Weeks of Clinton; daughter, Kathy Capps and husband, Charles Capps of Clinton; daughter, Diane Weeks and friend, Janine Talbot of Wilmington. She was also blessed with four grandchildren: Jaime Hicks (William), Jay Jones (Krista), Joseph Weeks (Maysun), Stephanie Johnson (Anthony) and three great-grandchildren: Helena Hicks, Chadwick Jones and Jayleigh Rayn Johnson.

A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, November 10, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Grandview Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Penny Ziemer officiating. Visitation with family and friends will be held prior to the service, from 1:00-1:45 pm at Royal-Hall Funeral Home.
