Mr. Liston Forest Alphin, 86 of 1260 Five Bridge Rd., passed away Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 26 at 2:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Gentry officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born in 1937 in Duplin County, Mr. Alphin was the son of the late Clarence Franklin and Dollie Deaver Alphin. He was a retired Truck Driver with Kenansville Equipment Co. Forest loved being outdoors and being around friends and family. He also loved antique cars, tractors, and country music.
He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-six years, Janice Wilson Alphin of the home; daughter, Barbara Butts (Shane) of Chambersburg, PA.; two sons: David Wayne Alphin (Deborah), and Liston Franklin Alphin all of Clinton; Four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters: Ethel Mae Jenkins, Margie Lee, and Josephine Alphin; three brothers: Ronald, Gilbert, and twin Morris Alphin; grandson Van Alphin.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 1:00 P.M. and other times at his home.
