Mr. Lenwood Carroll Bass, 74 of 2497 Basstown Rd. died at Rex Hospital in Raleigh Saturday February 6, 2021.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 PM at Bethany PFWB Church, 1068 Rackley Rd. with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Church Cemetery.

Born in 1946 in Sampson county,  Lenwood was the son of the late Charlie and Geneva Gautier Bass. He was a member of Bethany Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church and a retired supervisor with D. O. T. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a home loving man.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Etta Bass. Two daughters, Kimberly Strickland & Tracy Bass (Randy) of Clinton. Two sisters, Patricia Jernigan (Charles)  and Wanda Strickland (Randy) all of Clinton. Two grandchildren, Lauren Jackson (Bruce) and Savannah Lee. Two great grandchildren, Brianna Jackson and Kyndall Jackson.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Bradshaw, Doris Parker and Pam Barnes. Two brothers, Charlie”Man” Bass, Jr. and Franklin Bass.

The family will receive friends at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Tuesday night from 6 til 8 PM and other times at his home.
