Mrs. Kathie Hairr Johnson, 70, of Isaac Weeks Road, passed away on January 17th, 2022, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 25th, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. W.O. Reiber officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park.
Born on December 31st, 1951, in Sampson County, Kathie was the daughter of the late Ann Turner and Evan Carlton Hairr, Sr. She was a dedicated director of Nursing for the Sampson County Health Department, serving all Sampson County with a deep passion for the health of the public. She touched many lives through her job, and all who had the opportunity to know her, loved her. She took pride and joy in her children, and all of her “babies”. She enjoyed reading, traveling, crocheting and sewing, and especially loved spending time with her family. Kathie was a kind, caring, intelligent, hard-working woman and will be greatly missed.
Kathie leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband, Mitch Jones of Clinton; her six daughters: Kellie Bah (Lamine) of Spring Lake; Jessica Honrine (Kevin Doras) of Raeford; Leslee Trinastic (Ryan) of Wisconsin; Caroline Wilson (Joseph) of Benson; Stephany Reynolds of Wisconsin; Tamatha Pugh of Salemburg; one sister, Kimberly Cannady of Clinton; brother, Evan “Carlton” Hairr, Jr. of Clinton; sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles, and her good friend of over twenty years, Wanda Robinson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Garnett Johnson and a brother, Kenneth Hairr.
The family will receive family and friends prior to the service, from 12:00pm-1:45pm, in the Chapel of Royal-Hall Funeral Home.
