Mr. Jimmy Spell, 84 of Tyndall Grove Rd., passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at his home with his loving family by his side.
A Funeral will be held on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 2:00 pm at the Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan and Rev. Paul Evans officiating. Burial will follow in the Spell-Tyndall Cemetery.
Born on July 21, 1938, in Sampson County, Jimmy was the son of the late Murphy and Mary Louise Simmons Spell. He was the owner of Spell’s Cloth Barn and also loved to have a vegetable garden every year. He enjoyed canning and cooking and having family over for the holidays. Jimmy was a “character”, who loved to joke around and make you smile. He was a hard-working, loving, man with a heart of gold and enjoyed being at home with his family more than anything else. His wife, children and grandkids were his world, and he was theirs. He will be greatly missed.
Jimmy leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Louise Mason Spell; Daughter, Charlotte Smith and husband, James of Clinton; Sharon Bradshaw and husband, Roger of Clinton; nine grandchildren: Brandy-Shannon, Brandy Michelle Cerda, Amanda Momin, Ashley Sinclair, Jaxson Smith, Crystal Gray, Cassie Bradshaw, Dalton Bradshaw and Cortney Bradshaw; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Billy Bradley Spell; sisters: Vivian Smith, Greta Knowles, Linda Britt; brothers: Homer Spell and Wayne Spell; a grandson, Billy Bradley Spell, Jr. and a granddaughter, Megan Dale Bradshaw.
Visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service on Friday, beginning at 1:00 pm, at the funeral home; and other times at his home.
Royal-Hall Funeral Home is honored to serve the Spell family.
