Mr. Jeffery Lynn Gainey, 60, of 130 Sandhole Rd., passed away Thursday, August 10, 2023, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 15, at 2:00 PM at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C.H. Lee and Rev. David Hansley officiating. Burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery.

Born in 1963 in Sampson County, Jeffery was the son of JL and Doris Wilson Gainey. Jeffery was a graduate of Hobbton High School Class of 1981 and an N.C. State University graduate of 1984. After his education, Jeffery’s career enabled him to be the Plant Systems Manager of Nitta Gelatin of Fayetteville. Jeffery was a wonderful husband, father, son, brother, uncle, and friend to many and was an avid N.C. State fan.

In addition to his parents, Jeffery is survived by his wife, Joan Royal Gainey of Clinton; son, Jared Gainey, and girlfriend, Samantha Britt of Raleigh; two sisters: Barbara Gainey Carter and husband, Terry of Clinton, and Beverly Gainey Bradshaw and husband, Scott of Clinton; three nieces: Breanna Avery and husband, Jonathon, Blair Bradshaw, and Haley Carter all of Clinton; and nephew, Tyler Royal of Raleigh.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral on Tuesday beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home and other times at the home of his sister, Beverly Gainey Bradshaw, 3195 Basstown Rd. Clinton, NC.
