Mrs. Janet Elizabeth Grantham Pearson, 96 of 3915 Stedwick Court (Formerly of Clinton) passed away Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice in Wilmngton.

A Graveside service will be held Saturday, March 13th at 2:00 pm at Holly Grove Christian Church Cemetery, 3940 Union School Rd. Clinton with Rev. Ken Eanes officiating.

Born in 1924 in Wayne County, Janet was the daughter of the late Clarence and Nannie Rose Grantham and the widow of Harry Stewart Pearson. Janet was a member of Holly Grove Christian Church which she loved and attended as her health permitted. She spent many years influencing others as a teacher until her retirement. Janet enjoyed many activities, such as gardening, bicycling, surf fishing, and reading. She most of all loved her Lord, family, and friends.

Janet is survived by her two daughters: Linda Hyatt and husband, Jimmy of Wilmington and Mary Pearson Arven of Indian Trail; her sister, Joyce Lamb and husband, Bobby of Ingold; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She loved her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Janet was preceded in death by  one grandson; two sisters; three brothers.

Visitation will be held immediately following the graveside service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holly Grove Christian Church, 3940 Union School Road, Clinton, NC 28328 or to a charity of the donor's choice.
