Jackie “Jack” Walton Parrish, Jr., 57, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital with his loving wife by his side. Born on April 14, 1969, Jack entered his earthly home and, 57 years later on that same meaningful date, entered his heavenly home—marking a life lived with deep love for family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Grove Park Baptist Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church sanctuary. A private burial will follow at Clinton Cemetery. Reverend Jonathon Shattuck and Reverend Michael Shook will officiate the service.
Born in 1969 in Johnston County, Jack was the son of Jackie Walton Parrish (Evelyn) and Joann Adcock (Cameron). He was a member of Grove Park Baptist Church.
Jack dedicated 34 years of service to Steel Technologies, working in Purchasing with loyalty, integrity, and professionalism. He was respected by coworkers for his strong work ethics and dependability.
Jack had a deep passion for golf, a game that brought him joy, peace, and lifelong friendships. He enjoyed early tee times, friendly competition, and the quiet reflection found on the course. Golf was more than a hobby—it was a place where he connected with others and created lasting memories. He also loved watching professional tournaments and sharing his appreciation for the game with his family.
Above all, Jack loved his family and friends, who were the center of his life. He is survived by his wife, Tonya Lane Parrish; his parents, Jackie Walton Parrish (Evelyn) and Joann Adcock (Cameron); his daughter, Maggie Parrish of Clinton; his son, Henry Jax Parrish of Asheville, North Carolina; his brother, Brent Parrish (Jessica) of Clinton; his niece, Kailee Parrish of Clinton; his nephew, Walker Parrish of Clinton; and his mother-in-law, Debbie Lane.
Jack will be remembered for the love he shared, the relationships he cherished, and the memories he leaves behind.
