Mr. Horace Sessoms, 79, of 507 W. Pinewood St, Roseboro, passed away at Sampson Regional Medical Center on Monday, March 30, 2026.
A Graveside service will be held at the Wiley-Autry Cemetery in Autryville, Thursday, April 2, at 2:00 PM with Deacon Horace Sessoms, Jr. officiating.
Born in 1946 in Sampson County, Horace was the son of the late Ransom and Beulah Mae Tanner Sessoms. He was a furniture maker and a retired textile plant employee with High Point Furniture Co. One of Horace’s favorite hobbies was fishing at the beach.
He is survived by a son, Horace Sessoms, Jr. and wife Sarah of Trinity, NC; five grandchildren: Richard Viers, Drew Sessoms, Katie Sessoms, Kayla Viers and Nathan Viers; two great-grandchildren: Azaila Viers and Christine Viers.
In addition to his parents, Horace was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennie Sessoms Viers; two sisters: Marie Tanner and Polly Sessoms; and four brothers: Roy, Jasper, Clayton, and Peyton Sessoms.
The family will have visitation at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel beginning at 12:30 PM on Thursday.
