Mrs. Mary Hellen Matthews Adams, 82, passed away Saturday, February 15, at Sampson Regional Medical Center with her family by her side.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, February 18 at 2:00 PM at White Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Loft and Rev. John Hobbs officiating. Burial will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens of Salemburg.
Born in 1943 in Sampson County, Hellen was the daughter of the late W.K. and Maderese Crumpler Matthews. She was the widow of Kirtz Adams, a devoted homemaker and a member of White Oak Baptist Church where she served for many years.
Hellen is survived by her Niece, Melanie Creeger of Roseboro; sister-in-law, Peggy Matthews of Clinton; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kirtz, Hellen was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry K. Matthews.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM in the Sanctuary.
