Mrs. Helen “Diane” Williams, 73, of Carroll Store Road, passed away at her home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, with her family by her side.
Funeral services will be held on Friday morning, June 24th at 11 am at Clement Baptist Church with Pastor Scott Keith and Dr. James Dees officiating. Burial will follow at Bethabara United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Born on March 3, 1949 in Harnett County, Diane was the daughter of the late Oliver Thomas “Sam” Martin and Betty Faircloth Whitmire. She married the love of her life, Ralph “Mickel” Williams in 1966 and they raised their two daughters in the Clement Community. She was a member of Clement Baptist Church and a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-granddaughters. The loss is great, but so is the love left behind.
Diane leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of 56 years, Mickel Williams of the home; her two daughters: Marlene Williams (friend, Ben Beasley) and Amy Tew, both of Autryville; brother, Tony D. Martin and wife, Brenda of Autryville; sister-in-law, Mabel Campion and husband, Dick; five grandchildren: Anthony Baird (Courtney), Justin Baird, Blake Baird, Aubrey Tew and Emily Tew; two great-grandchildren: Taylor and Elizabeth Baird; special nieces and nephews: Jimmy Butler, Lana McLamb (Kevin), Angela Martin and Adam Martin (Keri). She will be greatly missed.
Flowers are welcome, or memorials may be made to: Bethabara UMC Cemetery Fund, 4730 Maxwell Road, Autryville, NC 28318.
The family will receive friends on Thursday evening, from 6-8 pm at Clement Baptist Church, located on Maxwell Road, Autryville, NC; and other times at her home.
