Mr. Harold Norman “Bo” Herndon, 76, of 3815 Ivanhoe Rd. passed away at NorthChase Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wilmington on Friday morning, January 8, 2021.
A Graveside service will be held Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11:00 am at the Ivanhoe Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Melvin Hall officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside. Please practice social distancing and wear a mask.
Born on July 29, 1944 in New Hanover County, Bo was the son of the late Norman and Jean Bagwell Herndon. He was a member of Ivanhoe Baptist Church. He was a retired truck driver, and also an employee with Ivanhoe Blueberry farm for many years and a member of the NC National Guard. He was a kind, hard working, man who loved his family. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife, Lottie Oliver Herndon of the home; son, Mark Herndon and wife, Julie; stepsons: Chuck Sessoms and wife, Robbie and Robert Sessoms and wife, Sandra, all of Durham; eight grandchildren; one sister, Norma Jean Ferrell and husband, Mike of Raleigh; one brother, Brett Herndon of Canada; and a nephew, Jeremiah Ferrell of California.
