Gerald "Bull" Landon King, Jr.

Mr. Gerald Landon “Bull” King, Jr., of Aulander, passed away at his home on August 20, 2023.

Born on March 14, 1969 in Florida, Gerald was the son of the late Gerald Landon King, Sr. and Shirley Harrison King. He was a self-employed drywall finisher, and worked hard his entire life. Most recently he worked with his sister, Faye at Ahokie Tire.  When he wasn’t working, Gerald loved nothing more than being outdoors. He loved music and enjoyed fishing. He especially loved gardening. He could grow anything – and his entire family always looked forward to his yearly vegetables. His favorite sidekick in the garden was his daughter, Summer. Gerald was known by a lot of his friends as “Bull” and was a character to those who knew him best.  His life was cut way too short, but he leaves a legacy of love behind and his memories will be forever cherished.  His mama was his “everything” and his family knows they’re reunited now in heaven!

He is survived by his daughter, Summer King of Salemburg; son, Bradley King of Clinton; three sisters: Shirley Faye King of Ahoskie, Marie King Price of Mount Olive, Sylvia King Phillips; and stepdaughter, Sierra Lee of Salemburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan King, sister, Nancy Lynn King and brother, James Edward King.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 2:00 pm with Rev. Bobby King officiating. Burial will follow at Grandview Memorial Park. Visitation with family and friends will be held one hour prior to the service, beginning at 1:00 p.m.  After the graveside service, the family would like to extend an invitation for a meal being served at Turkey PFWB Church, located at 138 W. Faison Avenue, Turkey, NC.
