Gerald Hesketh Obituary

Gerald Lynn Hesketh of Clinton, NC, passed away on July 8, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family.


Born in 1943 in Vandergrift, PA, he is the son of the late Clarence ‘Fuzzy’ and Myrle Hesketh. Also preceding him in death are three brothers, Don, Gene, and Rick Hesketh; also son-in-law Bland Gillikin. Serving our country as a Corpsman in the United States Navy, he served in the Vietnam War and was a proud Veteran. He married his loving wife in 1978 and they began their life together in Clinton. Jerry was the Director of Radiology at Sampson Regional Medical Center. He adored his girls and was the best husband, daddy, and grandad.

 

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sarah Grace Hesketh of the home; children, Saralyn Davis and husband Larry of Oak Island, Heather Hesketh and husband Steven Champeon of Raleigh, Meghan Jackson and husband Eric of Salemburg; granddaughter Leah Gillikin of Wilmington; siblings Bill Hesketh and Cookie Harnish of Vandergrift PA; several nieces and nephews, and countless friends.


A service to celebrate his life will be held Tuesday, July 12th from 4 until 6PM at Royal Hall Funeral Home of Clinton. The family will receive family and friends other times at the Hesketh home. Please come to share a laugh, lend a shoulder, and to celebrate the life of a great man.
