Mrs. Geneva Dixon Moore, 85, of 3523 Ivanhoe Rd., passed away Sunday, September 8, 2024, at her son’s home.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 12, at 2:00 PM at Ivanhoe Baptist Church with Rev. Melvin Hall, Rev. George Potter, and Mr. Leroy Sykes officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends following the burial in the Church Fellowship Hall.
Born on February 24, 1939, in Onslow County, Geneva was the daughter of the late Ebbo and Lucy Jones Dixon. She was a member of the Ivanhoe Baptist Church and the widow of Andrew Kenneth Moore, Sr. She was a retired teller with First Citizens Bank and was a Graduate Master Gardener with the Sampson County Corporate Program.
Geneva is survived by her son, Andrew Kenneth Moore, Jr, and wife, Jennifer Biggs of Ivanhoe; six grandchildren: Jacob Andrew Moore, Jayna Elaine Biggs, Alex Beavers, Drew Beavers, Luke Hamilton, and Gabriel Hamilton.
In addition to her parents and husband, Geneva was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Hamilton, one sister and three brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lower Cape Fear Hospice of Wilmington, 1414 Physicians Drive, Wilmington, NC 28401, in recognition for their excellent care.
