Frederick "Fred" Eugene Holland

Mr. Frederick “Fred” Eugene Holland, 69 of 1315 Beulah Rd. died at Sampson Regional Medical Center Friday, February 4, 2022.

*** Update:  A Memorial Service for Fred will be held this Saturday, April 16th at 2:00 pm at First United Methodist Church with a visitation following the service in the church Fellowship Hall. ***

Born on March 30, 1952, in Sampson County, Fred was the son of the late Junius Everett and Veneta Lewis Holland. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a farmer. He was the widower of Elizabeth “Beth” Belle Wilson Holland. He was an avid N.C. State fan and coach of the senior ladies basketball team. In addition, he coached little league baseball, basketball, football and soccer teams. 

He is survived by his daughter, Katie Susan Holland of Everetts, NC. Son, Matthew Alexander Holland of Clinton. Three brothers, Daniel “Dan” Floyd Holland and wife, Ruth of Clinton, Junius Memory Holland and wife, Kathy of Sierra Visa, AZ. and William “Randy” Randall Holland and wife, Nancy of Clinton.

In addition to his parents and wife, Beth, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Russell Fletcher Holland.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, 208 Sampson St., Clinton, NC 28328.
