Elizabeth Mae Pinyatello, 81, of 351 Thomson Ave., went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
A celebration of her life will be on Friday, July 18, 2025 at 7:00 pm at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 1818 N. McCullen Rd., Faison, NC 28341 with Pastor Robert Beasley officiating. Visitation will follow the service in the church fellowship hall. A private burial will be held at the Thomson Family Cemetery at a later date.
Elizabeth Mae Pinyatello was the second daughter of Wilson Eugene & Ruth Robinson Perkins, born on June 23, 1944, in Portsmouth, Va. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Wilson Eugene Perkins, Jr, nephew John Cooper Hartman, and husband, the love of her life, George Anthony Pinyatello. Mae was a Legal Secretary for both Duplin and Sampson County District Attorney’s Offices and was very meticulous in her work. She retired from the District Attorney’s Office with 25 years of service. Mae was a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. She served the Lord for many years as a pianist, organist, and choir director. She loved her Lord Jesus, adored her family and is now reunited with her George. She was the family photographer and always loved her birthplace, Virginia.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two daughters: Elizabeth King (Billy) of Turkey, NC, Amy Lennon (Ewen) of Campobello, SC; three grandchildren: Zachary King (Maranda) of Apopka, FL, Maegan and Ava Lennon of Campobello, SC; two great-grandchildren: Zara King and Crystalyn Garcia of Apopka, FL; sister: Peg Hartman of Chesapeake, VA; sister-in-law: Jane Boose (Billy) of Turkey, NC; and nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to Piney Grove Baptist Church, Faison, NC. In lieu of flowers please make contributions to your favorite charity.
