Mrs. Cherry Elizabeth Parker Rich, 89, of Clinton, passed away Friday, June 18th, 2021 at her home.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, June 22nd at 11:00 AM at Grandview Memorial Park with Rev. John Hobbs officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the cemetery.
Born in 1932, Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Richard and Katie Hudson Parker and the widow of Alvah Bruce Rich. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church where she was the Choir Director and pianist for a number of years. She was also a member of the WMU. She worked for Atrium Florist for a number of years and had a few secretarial positions throughout her career. Her husband, Bruce, farmed and a lot of days you could find her assisting him. To know Elizabeth was to love her and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by eight neices and five nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Herman Parker, sisters-in-law: Nettie Ray Wynn Parker, Ellen Hollingsworth, Estelle Underwood Rozier and Maybelle Green; brothers-in-law: Norman Rich and Preston Rich.
The family would like to thank the staff of Community Home Health and Hospice and offer a special thanks to her caregivers: Marable Sellars, Shelia Simmons, Carrie Simpson, Scottie Hendricks, Dollie McNeil and Jeannette Williams.
