Mr. Elem Woodrow “Woody” Dudley, 70, of Clinton passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 at Mary Gran Nursing Home.
A Graveside service will be held Saturday morning, May 9 at 11:00 am at Clinton Cemetery with Rev. Charles Ray Jernigan officiating.
Born in 1949 in Harnett County, Woody was the son of the late Elem and Juanita Royal Dudley. He worked at Dorothea Dix Hospital in Raleigh as a Medical Assistant for many years, before moving back to Clinton.
He is survived by two sons: Clinton Woodrow Dudley and wife, Sabrina of Clinton, Michael Andrew Dudley and wife, Trish of Clayton; two sisters: Janice Dudley and Brenda Jackson of Clinton; two brothers: Donald Dudley of White Lake, Ronnie Dudley and wife, Connie of Faison; and five grandchildren: Kyler Hern, Aubrie Jeffreys, Jayden Moore, Isaiah Dudley and Jordan Dudley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Royal-Hall Funeral Home to cover funeral expenses by mailing to PO Box 815, Clinton, NC 28329.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of Mary Gran Nursing facility, as well as the hospice nurses who took such great care of Woody over the last eleven years. Your kindness and compassionate care were sincerely appreciated.
